How to properly dispose
It is not recommended to throw lithium-ion batteries directly into the regular garbage. There are a few reasons for this.
- They are filled with recyclable materials.
- Lithium-ion batteries are flammable.
- They can release harmful chemicals.
Correct Product Disposal for
End consumers
If you are an end consumer trying to recycle your lithium-ion batteries, please return them to the retailer you purchased them from. When lithium-ion batteries are placed in regular garbage or recycling, they pose a fire hazard if they are not properly recycled. Sending old shade motors back to your point of purchase is one step closer to safely recycling lithium-ion batteries.
